Slow Food Market -Slow Food – Slow Wine – Slow Design – Every Saturday and Sunday from 9-3 pm Rain or Shine .
Situated indoors in the Willowbridge Lifestyle centre in Tygervalley. This urban market with small local producers sells artisan foods, street foods and local design.
This is the home of authentic, locally sourced, ethical old-school, slow food.
At Slow Market all produce has been sourced, grown, raised, harvested, caught, preserved or transformed by the producers themselves. Small purveyors of fine foods, gourmet eats, handmade crafts and local designs are supported. The idea is to support the locals.
One can learn to buy and cook seasonally from people with a passion for what they do.Hand reared chickens and ducks, raw foods, honest chocolates and fresh German breads are all on offer. Their heroes are farmers, bakers, grocers, chefs, musicians, homemakers and teachers.
We as consumers want to know where things are coming from, how they were made and what they are made of. You know who you are — lovers of SOLE (Sustainable, Organic, Local, and Ethical) food, traditional food, primal food, REAL food.
The organisers believe that by joining together, influence can grow, and the way the world eats can be changed!
If you believe that you are a purveyor of real food, why not contact the organisers about renting a table and joining up with other like-minded people.Alternatively, if you are one who likes to browse the markets and enjoy the vibe while shopping healthily, a visit to THE SLOW MARKET is certainly a morning well spent.
