The Grand Café and Beach Bar is located in Granger Bay. It is based on an artificially created beach in an abandoned warehouse, which together offer one of Cape Town’s most popular beach dining experiences.
Able to seat 1000 individuals, the Grad Café and Beach Bar, has a luxuriously decorated indoors industrial space and chic décor. Their Paris bistro chairs and chandelier give it an upmarket feel, with a romantic touch added by the fresh red roses on the tables. The Ambience is relaxed and the crowed is mixed ranging from individuals that just graduated to families with small children.
The food, even though considered as pricy by locals, is delicious featuring a fusion of fabulous eastern and western dishes. They offer tasty wood fired pizzas with a thin base and a variety of toppings, as well as delicious pastas and tender beef fillets, among many others. Their signature dish however is their Trade Routes Challenge, the Grand fusion seafood pasta made out of fresh fishcakes on a bed of tomato passed pasta.
The Grand Café and Beach Bar also boasts a warehouse shop selling a variety of items from perfumed candles and jewellery, to designer swimming trunks.
